Terms & Conditions

STANDARD CONDITIONS OF HIRE
HIGH LITTLETON SCOUT HALL

  1. During the period of hire, the Hirer is responsible for the safety and cleanliness of the Hall.
  2. The Hall does not have an alcohol licence. You may bring your own alcohol with you to be consumed on site however a Private Alcohol Licence will be required if alcohol is to be available for sale at the Hall.
  3. No smoking in the Hall or in the Car Park.
  4. Any damage done to any part of the building or the contents of the building may result in a charge to the Hirer.
  5. The Hirer is responsible for leaving the premises and car park area in a clean and tidy condition, locked and secured unless otherwise agreed. Please be respectful of the neighbours and leave the Hall quietly.
  6. The Bookings Secretary has the right to cancel a booking in the event of the Hall being required for use as a Polling Station for a Parliamentary or Local Government election or by-election, or if the building is unusable due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case the Hirer shall be refunded any
    payment already made.
  7. The Scout Hall is licensed to accommodate up to a maximum of 50 Persons. This limit must not be exceeded under any circumstance.
  8. The Hirer is responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and any utensils used.
  9. The provision of tea towels for kitchen use is the responsibility of the Hirer.
  10. The Hirer must remove all rubbish, including recycling from the premises and car park.
  11. The Hirer should be aware of the fire escape routes, location of fire extinguishers etc.
  12. A First Aid Kit is stored in the Kitchen.
  13. No dogs allowed in the Hall except Guide Dog Groups, organized dog training groups and assistance dogs. The room to be used for these groups will be the School Room.
  14. The premises does not have a TV Licence. Therefore, the Hirer is not permitted to watch or record any TV programme live. This applies to any device, including a computer, laptop, tablet and mobile phone. The Hirer will be liable for any fine or penalty levied against the HL Scout Group.

Note: The word ‘Hirer’ used in the Hire Agreement and in the Standard Conditions above means the person or organization hiring the Scout Hall from the High Littleton Scout Group.
